Mark Chaussee is the current guitarist for Marilyn Manson. Chaussee joined the band in late 2004 as a replacement for the recently-departed John Lowery (John5) to perform on the 2004-2005 ‘Against All Gods’ world tour. A former member of “Danzig (band)” and of Rob Halford’s post- Judas Priest band ‘Fight’, Chaussee brought an "old-school" Heavy metal music sound to Marilyn Manson's live performance, in contrast to John 5's polished, glam-metal influences. Chaussee's position in the band is widely regarded as temporary; however, no official statement has been made regarding his long-term status. He was not renewed in his functions for the Rape of the World 2007 tour. |
